TRMC Takes Starkville: Behind the Scenes of Our May 9–10 Production Shoot
On May 9–10, The Rossi Media Company packed up our gear and hit the road for Starkville, Mississippi for a production shoot that pushed our video marketing game even further.
This wasn’t just any shoot. It was a full-on creative sprint designed to capture the essence of Starkville’s nightlife, culture, and energy. Our destination? Whiskey Ranch Starkville—a bold, high-capacity venue with the kind of raw atmosphere that demands cinematic treatment.
🎥 Day 1: Pre-Production + Environmental Capture
We spent the first day scouting lighting conditions, mapping our camera rigs, and capturing B-roll from the surrounding area—establishing shots of Starkville’s streets, the venue exterior, and crowd buildup. Think lens flares, golden hour shadows, and everything else that makes for scroll-stopping footage.
We also ran sound tests and stabilized our drone patterns for the next day’s vertical and wide-pull aerials. The mission? Showcase the experience from the outside in. From curious passersby to packed dance floors, we needed movement, crowd heat, and emotion in every frame.
🔊 Day 2: Lights On, Volume Up
May 10 was go-time. We filmed performances, crowd reactions, team interviews, and motion shots that showcased why Whiskey Ranch isn’t just a bar—it’s a destination.
We rigged up Steadicams for interior glide shots, tracked servers weaving through crowds, and mic’d up key staff for voiceovers to layer into the campaign. The TRMC crew handled live set adjustments in real time, all while keeping to a tight shot list and rapid pace.
The energy didn’t stop until well past closing—and neither did our footage logging.
